Hi, I'm June Gloom and I like to share my opinions about stuff. I'm in my 40s, female, and disabled. I'm also unabashedly, unapologetically queer and furry.
But what I ultimately am is just a huge nerd. I like horror, I like video games, and I like movies, and I've been voraciously consuming all those things since I was a kid. And I wanna talk about that stuff!
I've also been blogging and writing media criticism and analysis for years at this point. I've been on Livejournal, Wordpress, Tumblr, Twitter, Bluesky, Medium, whatever. Over the years I've probably slathered thousands, even millions of words on the internet for a minuscule audience. I don't do it for fame or money (though both would be nice,) I do it because I have a lot to say, and at least online, I have a platform to say it.
As far as film genres go, I like horror best of all, but I also enjoy science fiction, noir, westerns, and a lot else. Video games I'm only slightly more picky: I predominantly enjoy "boomer shooters" and immersive sims, but I'm also into survival horror, open-world games (especially the kind where you do crimes) and I've been known to enjoy the occasional jRPG. Just miss me with the seven thousand roguelike deckbuilders on Steam, why are there so many???
Music-wise I enjoy vaporwave, post-hardcore, lo-fi hiphop and whatever Ulver is doing this year.
